should cost thousands of dollars. Get some estimates. You'll find that my prices are less than
half of what many website design firms are charging! I
don't charge a monthly maintenance fee. You only pay for updates
as you need them and I charge by the 1/2 hour increment. I

and hosting are put in your name and you are given access to the Hosting Control Panel. You may make
changes to your website or have someone else do it if you choose.
Any
artwork I create for you will be given to you at your request.

The bottom line . . .
I have many clients who did not make sure their domain name
was not registered in their name and email address, their webmaster "disappeared", and they
ended up having to purchase a new domain name and change their business
cards and all advertising that had their website address on it in order
to allow me to work on their website. Even if If you choose
another webmaster for your web design needs, follow the guidelines below
for you own protection and peace of mind.
Make sure the domain name is registered to your name and email
address and you have the login information for your hosting control
panel, or
you don't actually own the website
and there is no way to gain access to it. It's best to
purchase your own domain name to ensure ownership, but if you would
rather not deal with it, i can purchase it and have it registered to
you.
Get a written estimate that details what you are paying for.
Get references from past clients.
Ask if they will supply you with all original artwork and source
files (i.e. Flash and Vector Art).
Get an estimated timeline for the start and completion of your
project.
Ask if there are any monthly maintenance fees, and what the charges
will be for future updates.
